The Association expands programming in India; partners ready to do more
Last year, the Association made notable strides in expanding its International Quality Improvement work in Asia Pacific with an entry into India, supported directly by the generosity of Dr. Suresh and his family.
This pilot program focuses on helping local hospitals establish systems of care protocols and achieve quality care certification. Four hospitals have been selected to explore accreditation as Chest Pain and/or Stroke Centers. As part of this program, they will undertake a rigorous process to assess and detail current hospital infrastructure, staffing and performance metrics as well as identify the opportunities for growth and improvement needed to earn the distinguished accreditation. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in India, underscoring the importance of these initiatives in India and across Asia Pacific.
