The Association honors volunteer with two prestigious awards

DP Suresh, M.D., FAHA, FACC, has been a pivotal figure in advancing global cardiovascular health, particularly in his home country of India.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Suresh has been at the forefront of cardiovascular science and has contributed extensively to the Association's international efforts. In recognition for his dedication and impact, on 2 May he was honored with the esteemed Ron Haddock International Impact Award at the Forever Bold 2024 National Volunteer Awards. Additionally, he received the Dr. Creighton B. Wright Award for his collaborative efforts to enhance heart and brain health.

Dr. Suresh has been instrumental in advancing quality cardiovascular care in India. Reflecting on his work, Dr. Suresh does not dream small: his vision is to extend life-saving cardiovascular practices "from 300 million people to three billion people" across the globe, transforming care for heart disease and stroke in every region of the world.
