The International Symposium at the 98th American Heart Association Scientific Sessions spotlighted global collaboration in cardiovascular care. Experts examined worldwide implementation of evidence-based guidelines for hypertension, acute coronary syndromes and more. They addressed infrastructure, training and policy challenges to improve outcomes through localized innovation.
Sessions featured key findings from Heart Association journals and late-breaking science, including advances in diagnostics, global patterns of premature cardiovascular disease and innovative therapies for pulmonary hypertension. Joint sessions with leading societies explored atrial fibrillation mechanisms, metabolic health and strategies for heart failure prevention.
Roundtables emphasized maternal heart health and cross-border approaches to cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic care, underscoring the importance of equity-driven research and global partnerships in shaping the future of cardiovascular medicine.
