King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is strengthening resuscitation training through HeartCode® Complete, the American Heart Association’s flexible, blended learning program for Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support education. HeartCode® Complete combines self-paced online learning with hands-on skills development using a simulation station.
“The blended model suits health-care environments with demanding schedules,” said Belal Almulla, manager of the hospital’s life support training center. Staffers can complete training on their own schedules while maintaining consistent, high-quality standards. Administrators benefit from simplified oversight, and participants gain greater confidence and control over their progress.
“Overall, the learner journey became smoother and more accessible,” Almulla said of the implementation that began in January. That’s a plus for King Faisal and serves as a model for hospitals worldwide.
