Apollo Hospitals in Bengaluru earns dual certification

The Apollo Hospital, Bannerghatta, (unit of Imperial Hospitals and Research Centre) in Bengaluru, India, recently earned American Heart Association Comprehensive Chest Pain and Comprehensive Stroke Center certification. The achievement represents one of the Heart Association’s dual certifications in India after a pilot certification program was launched in 2025. Apollo Group of Hospitals across India, form a large private healthcare system, which emphasizes on delivering world-class healthcare at an affordable cost. Heart Association volunteer Dr. DP Suresh, FAHA, FACC, co-chair of the Association’s International Committee, helped facilitate the recognition. Suresh is executive medical director at Florence Wormald Heart and Vascular Institute at St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
