The American Heart Association has certified Al Dhafra Family Medicine Center in the United Arab Emirates as a Hypertension Practice Center — for the first time, bringing a proven hypertension care model to patients outside the United States.
The certification recognizes health care organizations committed to comprehensive, patient-centered hypertension care grounded in guideline-directed protocols, multidisciplinary coordination and continuous quality improvement.
“This milestone reflects the dedication of our entire team to delivering consistent, evidence-based hypertension care and improving the health of our community,” said Shaik Mohiuddin Moinuddin, chief quality officer of Al Dhafra Family Medicine Center, in Madinat Zayed City.
The Heart Association developed the certification to help organizations standardize care and improve blood pressure control. Expanding certification internationally helps the Association advance its mission to address global inequities in cardiovascular health.
