Essential Stroke Life Support (ESLS®)

The International Essential Stroke Life Support (ESLS®) Online Provider Course is a self-directed eLearning Course designed for healthcare professionals to introductory skills like faster stroke recognition and triage for patients who present outside of an advanced stroke care setting. Co-developed by the American Stroke Association (a division of the American Heart Association), the University of Miami Gordon Center for Simulation and Innovation in Medical Education, and Laerdal Medical Corporation, ESLS leverages the evidence-based content of the Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS®) program to meet the needs of nurses and EMS personnel.

Why ESLS?
The ESLS course combines cognitive curriculum with patient cases using virtual simulation. This allows for an expanded reach to healthcare professionals who do not typically treat stroke patients but need or want to learn how to better care for stroke patients.
