The Association expands programming in India; partners ready to do more

Last year, the Association expanded its International Quality Improvement efforts in Asia Pacific by entering India, supported by Dr. Suresh and his family, through a pilot program aimed at helping four hospitals establish care protocols and achieve accreditation as Chest Pain and/or Stroke Centers.

On May 2, Dr. Suresh was honored with the Ron Haddock International Impact Award and the Dr. Creighton B. Wright Award for his contributions to global cardiovascular care, aiming to extend life-saving practices from 300 million to three billion people worldwide.
The Association, together with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Laerdal Foundation are committed to the development and implementation of the Acute Care Action Network (ACAN) globally.

The ACAN aims to improve care for time-sensitive conditions in low-resource settings through the Basic Emergency Care (BEC) course, developed by WHO and partners, with the Association encouraging its global instructors to teach these lifesaving skills.
